Deaconess Ministry

1 Timothy 3:11 Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.

The Deaconess Ministry of the Holden Chapel Missionary Baptist Church exist to support the Senior Pastor, Ministerial Staff, Deacons and the entire congregation to promote peace, harmony and a spirit of cooperation and unity among the membership. With the assistance of the Deacons, they make sure all the needs of the First Family of HCMBC are met, especially specific needs pertaining to those of our First Lady.

The primary duties of the Deaconess include being responsible for the preparation and setting up of the Holy Communion for the first Sunday of each month. In addition, they instruct all female baptismal candidates on what to wear and the significant and purpose of Salvation as awell as baptism. From a servant perspective, they give godly counsel unto the youg ladies within the church's membership, teaching them how to be modest in appe as well as setting the example of how women should carry themselves in a Christlike manner.
